Trained in martial arts since 1989 (aged 12) and has competed since 1992. Trained in contact Karate and kickboxing between 1989 and 1994 by world full contact champion Dev Barrett in the ECKA and then by Neil 'Flex' Kelly of USKA between 1994 and 2001. Passed black belt in 1998. Graded by Howard 'The Hawk' Brown. Chief instructor for Solihull Kickboxing Academy since 2001 Trained in boxing by Roy Barbour and Padraig McCulloch since 1993. Qualified as ABA boxing coach in 2004 Graduated in 1999 with honours degree in PE and sports science from University of Birmingham Fully qualified school teacher since 1999 CRB cleared, first aid qualified with full instructor indemnity and public liability. WUMA instructor of the month October 2005 2007-Present: Appointed as ISKA National Coach for Team England

fighting acheivements

1994-1995: 2 x ECKA under 18 National Champion. 14 regional tournament wins. Competed twice in Groningen Holland at 'War of the World' and 'The Battle of Europe.

1996: ECKA National Champion (senior). First selected as -91kg fighter to compete at WKA World Championships in Prague. 16 regional tournament wins.

1997: 2 x MACK National Champion, IKKC British Champion. 23 regional tournament wins.

1998: WAKO British Heavyweight Champion. Selected to compete as the -89kg fighter at the WAKO European Championships in Kiev, Ukraine. 19 regional tournament wins.

1999-2000: 2 x ISKA British Champion, 2 x WUMA National Champion. 24 regional tournament wins.

2001: WUMA European Heavyweight Champion +85kg

2005: Came out of early retirement to win British Trials and National Championships.

2006: Competed at Irish open, ISKA Europeans in Germany, Nordic Open in Denmark and NEC Birmingham for the Great Britain team.

2007: ISKA European Semi-Contact Champion 2007 in Szentes Hungary

2008: Bronze medal ISKA world championships, Czech republic

2009: 2 x European Champion, Rome, Italy
